What is Biotin?

From the abstract:

> We found that widespread, severe cerebral deficiency of vitamin B5 occurs in AD. This deficiency was worse in those regions known to undergo severe damage, including the hippocampus, entorhinal cortex, and middle temporal gyrus. Vitamin B5 is the obligate precursor of CoA/acetyl-CoA (acetyl-coenzyme A), which plays myriad key roles in the metabolism of all organs, including the brain. In brain, acetyl-CoA is the obligate precursor of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine, and the complex fatty-acyl groups that mediate the essential insulator role of myelin, both processes being defective in AD; moreover, the large cerebral vitamin B5 concentrations co-localize almost"

Ozempic doesn't cut the hunger much at all (or maybe I'm really supposed to be hungry, still working it all out). I try to get up to 1750 a day, which I think I'm doing.

I'm starting a Saffron + Biotin supplement to see how it does. I'm just trying to keep from mindlessly grabbing chips or something."

I was prescribed spiranolactone (a potassium sparing diuretic) for hair loss and the side effects were terrible. Went to start on finasteride but after doing some research decided that systemically wiping out DHT wasn't a good idea, too many serious side effects. I have also added minoxidil (rogaine) to regrow what has already been lost with noticeable success.

My personal experience has been RU58841+minoxidil+ketoconazole shampoo should be the go to combo for any man trying to combat hairloss. (Maybe also adding a multivitamin with a good amount of biotin, and some hydrolyzed collagen to your diet" discordAnecdotes:
